Chakras are energy centres which are present in different parts of your body. They spread from the top of your head till the end of your spine. There are seven chakras in your body. If a chakra is blocked and is not balanced, it leads to various problems in that part your body where that chakra resides. So, it is really important to lead a healthy life that you keep your chakras balanced and healthy. There are certain food items allotted to each chakra that will help it to function properly. Here is a list of the food items that will balance your chakras.
The first chakra present at the base of your spine is Muladhar chakra. It is also known as root chakra, as it is associated with your genitals and reproductive organs. It deals with issues like relationships, attachment styles and finances. It is represented by red colour. Pomegranates, strawberries and apples are really useful to heal the root chakra.
The second chakra present in your lower abdomen is Svadhishtan chakra. It is also known as sacral chakra. It deals with issues like pleasure and sexuality. It is represented by orange colour. Oranges, pumpkin and carrots can be used to heal the sacral chakra.
The third chakra present in your stomach area is Manipura chakra. It is also known as solar plexus chakra. It deals with emotional issues like dependency, self-esteem and self-worth. It is represented by yellow colour. Bananas, yellow peppers and corns are eaten to balance the solar plexus chakra.
The fourth chakra present at the centre of your chest is called Anahat chakra. It is also known as heart chakra. It deals with issues like love, happiness and tranquillity. It is represented by green colour. Spinach and other leafy vegetables balance the sacral chakra.
The fifth chakra present in your throat area is Vissudha chakra. It is also known as throat chakra. It deals with speaking truth and opinions and having a good voice. It is represented by blue colour. Fruits that grow on trees like apples, peaches and apricots are useful to heal the throat chakra. Blueberries also help in balancing it.
The sixth chakra present in the middle of your forehead is called Agya chakra. It is also known as brow chakra or third-eye chakra. It deals with wisdom and your decision-making abilities. It is represented by indigo colour. Eggplants and purples grapes are useful to heal the brow chakra.
The seventh chakra present at the crown of your head is Sahasrara chakra. It is also known as crown chakra. It deals with spirituality and your connection with the universe. It is represented by white colour. Sunlight, nature and air are required to heal and balance the crown chakra. Ginger, onions and garlic are considered useful to balance the seventh chakra.
